Our long-term goal is to see every UK school have solar panels, enabling education at scale.

Teaching young people about energy, carbon and climate change — and what they can do — is vital to achieving net zero. By linking the solar on the rooftop with the curriculum in the classroom, we show students how to adopt low-carbon lifestyles and build a sustainable future, empowering them with practical action to address climate anxiety.

Our constitution is registered and approved by the Financial Conduct Authority. As a Community Benefit Society, we are legally bound to act for the benefit of schools with solar installations.

Schools funded - or part-funded - by the CBS can become members, nominate directors and vote at the AGM, influencing decisions including how profits are distributed.

The Community is run by and for the schools.
